The consolidated earnings per share were $1.30, compared to $1.57 for the second quarter of fiscal year 1994. Victor H. Frauenhofer, chairman and chief executive officer said, "Earnings for the quarter were lower due to weather that was 18 percent warmer than last year and 7 percent warmer than normal. Sales to firm customers were down by 17.2 percent for the second quarter. The lower earnings were partially offset by higher interruptible sales and margins and lower operating and maintenance expenses."
