Connected Shows Global Commitment to Corporate Giving And Volunteerism; Company Sponsors Community Service Events in Boston and the UK; Employees Involved in the Activities.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Connected(R) Corporation, the leading provider of automated data protection, archiving and recovery solutions for distributed data, today announced the company's participation in three major community service events: Boston Cares Corporate Volunteer Day, the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series and the 9th Annual Windsor Bikeathon in the United Kingdom. These activities demonstrate Connected's continued commitment to corporate giving and volunteerism, while encouraging employees to be socially responsible.

On May 15, Connected took part in Boston Cares Corporate Volunteer Day -- greater Boston's largest day of corporate service. As a part of this event, employees assisted in trail maintenance and clean-up of Framingham's "Garden in the Woods," a part of the New England Wild Flower Society. Through the support of companies like Connected, Boston Cares Corporate Volunteer Program has contributed 24,000 hours of service and $386,126 to non-profit agencies since 1998. Focusing on 31 communities in the Greater Boston area, participants have worked on projects such as painting, cleaning and repairing buildings, preparing meals, landscaping, sorting and packaging food, and visiting seniors.

This month, Connected also sponsored a team which participated in the 21st annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series in Boston to support The Fund for Boston Neighborhoods, a not-for-profit organization that stages large scale events such as concerts, movies, neighborhood pride days and other civic celebrations free to the general public. Employees ran in the 5K race on June 2, which attracted 12,812 participants from 593 companies in the Boston-metro area, making the event the second most popular race in the city, next to the Boston marathon. The 2004 Corporate Challenge Series is expected to donate approximately $400,000 to charities and organizations worldwide.

On June 6, Connected's United Kingdom office participated in the 9th Annual Windsor Bikeathon, a charity bike ride supporting Leukemia research. The company's involvement in this event also helped fund vital Leukemia research at top hospitals and universities across the UK.
