Connaissance Consulting Acquires Operations of ASP Consulting.

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 1999--

Connaissance Consulting, a Norstan, Inc. (Nasdaq:NRRD) company, announced today it has acquired substantially all of the operations and certain assets of ASP Consulting Group, Inc. of Emeryville, California. Through this acquisition, Connaissance Consulting's industry-leading expertise in Siebel integration services will be augmented by ASP Consulting Group's proficiency in field service, call center, pharmaceutical and Scopus implementations. Call center customers migrating from Scopus to Siebel will benefit greatly from an integration partner with skills from both solutions.

This acquisition enhances Connaissance's position in the emerging Enterprise Relationship Management (ERM) marketplace. According to Connaissance CEO and President Jeff Lusenhop, "ASP's technical leadership and experience in the call center and service aspects of the Siebel Enterprise software strengthens Connaissance's leadership as an integrator in all aspects of the Siebel product line as well as the technical and leadership capacity to handle all sizes and flavors of Siebel installations."

Anatole Olczak, former president and CEO of ASP, will assume the position of Regional Vice President for Connaissance Consulting's Western Regional Office in Emeryville. Connaissance will continue to focus on several vertical markets including insurance, telecommunications, utilities, pharmaceutical, and technology industries. The Western Regional Office will pursue customer service, field service, call center, pharmaceutical and Scopus opportunities, while continuing to build its sales and marketing automation expertise. Other ASP business functions including sales, finance, customer support and corporate marketing will be integrated within the existing Connaissance Consulting organization.
