Conn-Selmer has introduced "Fortissimo," a new line of woodwind accessories including compact, multi-purpose instrument stands; a padded tensing ring ligature; and unique mouthpiece caps for woodwind mouthpieces.

The Fortissimo Saxophone Stand can hold an alto, tenor or curved soprano saxophone and is small enough to carry in a case pocket. It works on the floor or on a wall display, and is made of stainless steel stainless steel: see steel.

, with a special covering to protect the instrument.

The new Fortissimo Multi-Instrument Stand is compact enough to be stored safely inside a flute head-joint, yet also unfolds into a secure, yet unobtrusive, flute stand. The stand easily holds a piccolo piccolo, small transverse flute pitched an octave higher than the standard flute. Its tone is bright and shrill, and it can produce the highest notes in the orchestral range. The piccolo is used in orchestras and especially in military bands. See fife.  as well and, with a stand adapter, can also hold a soprano clarinet or oboe oboe (ō`bō, ō`boi) [Ital., from Fr. hautbois] or hautboy (ō`boi, hō`–), woodwind instrument of conical bore, its mouthpiece having a double reed. .

The Fortissimo Padded Tensing Ring Ligature secures a reed to a mouthpiece with minimal contact. The ring itself never touches the reed or the mouthpiece and is available in two sizes: small, for soprano clarinet, and soprano, alto and slim tenor saxophone mouthpieces; and large, for all saxophones and bass clarinet.
