, today announced it will change its corporate name to CCAi Consulting, Inc.

The firm also unveiled aggressive new plans designed to take full advantage of emerging opportunities in the IT field, and announced two senior staff appointments to support the initiatives.

"We have been known as CCAi to clients and partners since our founding in 1982," said Nicholas Canitano, chairman and chief executive officer. "The initials are a shorthand for Conley Canitano & Associates, Inc. We have made the decision to formalize the abbreviation abbreviation, in writing, arbitrary shortening of a word, usually by cutting off letters from the end, as in U.S. and Gen. (General). Contraction serves the same purpose but is understood strictly to be the shortening of a word by cutting out letters in the middle,  and add `consulting' to our corporate name so it now clearly communicates that we are a service organization."

The company, which specializes in enterprise solutions, is expanding beyond its "back office" technology expertise to address the broader needs of clients with new and updated applications. To best serve clients and their changing needs, the company already has assembled a strong, experienced management team, including:
