; Washington, D.C.), a company that provides news and information on Congress, politics and public policy, has acquired Congressional Green Sheets, Inc. (CGSI CGSI Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International (St. Paul, Minnesota)
CGSI Consumer Guidance Society of India
; Washington, D.C.), a producer of information on environmental, energy and natural resources issues on Capitol Hill, from owners Linda Cartwright and John Dineen. No terms of the deal were given.

CGSI was founded as a private enterprise in 1995, but began 20 years earlier as a specialized publication producer of the Congressional Environmental and Energy Study Conference in the House of Representatives. It became a private company after the Republican takeover of the House in 1994. The company's core products, including the Weekly Bulletin, Green Sheets Express and Newsroom, are targeted to policy makers and opinion leaders within government, associations, lobbying groups, law firms This list of the world's largest law firms by revenue is taken from The Lawyer and The American Lawyer and is ordered by 2006 revenue:[1]

CQI president/publisher Robert Merry said the purchase is the latest in a series of moves aimed at supplying the Washington community "discrete parcels of information tailored to specific subject areas ... (and) our aim is to provide the environmental community with the best available coverage that is customized to meet its particular information needs."
