The recently shipped WWII-themed action adventure title from DreamWorks Interactive(TM) is in the top 20, according to Reston-based PC Data, and has received critical acclaim in the consumer and game press.

The Medal of Honor is the highest commendation the United States can bestow on members of its Armed Forces. It is presented by the President in the name of Congress, and is awarded for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life in action involving actual conflict with an opposing armed force. Established during the Civil War, only 3,429 Medals had been authorized to date. Chartered by the United States Congress in 1957, the objectives and purposes of the CMOHS are to protect, uphold, and preserve the dignity and honor Dignity and Honor is an alleged organization of former Russian spies. It attracted media attention during the Alexander Litvinenko murder case.  of the medal by remembering with reverence and respect those who received it. The society also provides aid to all persons to whom the medal has been awarded, and fosters patriotism to inspire and stimulate the youth of this country to become respectful of our military past.

Medal of Honor allows players to take on the role of Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson, a young C-47 pilot shot down during a covert operation the night before the D-Day invasion. Patterson is recruited into the Office of Strategic Services Office of Strategic Services (OSS), U.S. agency created (1942) during World War II under the jurisdiction of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the purpose of obtaining information about enemy nations and of sabotaging their war potential and morale.
