Keeping park and recreation supporters ahead of the curve is what NRPA strives for--that's why we have created six new special interest tracks for 2006 covering an array of issues facing park and recreation professionals, citizens, volunteers, and students daily.

* Cultural Arts and Heritage/Diversity and Outreach Outreach is an effort by an organization or group to connect its ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public.

* Environmental Stewardship The integration and application of environmental values into the military mission in order to sustain readiness, improve quality of life, strengthen civil relations, and preserve valuable natural resources.  

* Leadership Management

* Tools/Resources to Advance Our Industry

Sessions in each topic area will cover trends, research, case studies, best practices, benchmarking, strategic partnerships, and regional issues (including urban, suburban, and rural focuses).

The excitement builds as colleagues, supporters, and friends assemble for the Opening General Session, the official start of NRPA's Congress & Exposition. This year's Keynote will be delivered by Seattle's own "World Famous" Flying Fish Mongers from Pike pike, in zoology

Welcome and Closing Parties
