They provide curriculum and advisory services to support New Zealand schools. are pleased to honor the 2006 National Civic Star Award winners by highlighting their programs in this supplement to The School Administrator. The award was created to recognize school districts that have teamed with local communities to develop and implement innovative activities that advance student learning. For 2006, we celebrate the efforts of 34 school-community initiatives that deliver meaningful benefits to both students and adults. A profile of the winning entries, including contact information, is contained in this publication to facilitate program sharing and replication. Winners received plaques and were honored during the AASA AASA American Association of School Administrators AASA Asian American Student Association AASA Association of Academies of Sciences in Asia AASA Aging and Adult Services Administration AASA Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army National Conference on Education[TM] in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. The 2006 National Civic Star Award winner, St. Charles Parish Schools in Luling, La., received $10,000 in cash and scholarships from Sodexho School Services.
