The session titled "Security Management/Regulations: Payment Card Industry Compliance" is being held on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Raleigh, NC ISSA event.

Credit card companies are under pressure to address growing monetary losses. In December of 2004, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and JCB formed and ratified the PCI DSS, a unified standard to meet mounting security needs. Now that the June 30th deadline for compliance has passed, companies are scrambling to decide how they will comply. As director of the Center for Policy & Compliance, Mr. Farrow's team develops templates to help customers achieve compliance with Federal mandates.

Mr. Farrow will reference his article titled "The Twelve Commandments: Getting in line with the PCI" that appeared in the cover story of SC Magazine (October 2005), as he discusses the compliance requirements outlined by the PCI DSS, and the challenges facing vendors and merchants who are required to implement this standard.

Participants at the Raleigh ISSA event will learn:
