Veteran Computer Security Strategist to Round Out Executive Team

Configuresoft, the industry leader in configuration management, today announced the appointment of Drew Williams as Vice President of Corporate Development. Williams, a long-time information management and security strategist, brings deep industry experience in corporate and product marketing, and business development to Configuresoft. He pioneered the vendor security research team model with the industry's first such group, AXENT Technologies' "Information Security SWAT Team".

Williams has successfully led product and services management as well as business development efforts for leading security vendors including AXENT, Symantec and BindView. In addition, he has served as a security compliance auditor for state governments and Fortune 500 companies. Williams is also author of the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996, Public Law 104-191) Also known as the "Kennedy-Kassebaum Act," this U.S. law protects employees' health insurance coverage when they change or lose their jobs (Title I) and provides standards for patient health,  CodeBLUE Security Policy, a breakthrough methodology in turn-key compliance processes. He assumes responsibility for managing corporate development at Configuresoft, including corporate positioning, product branding, and expanding business relationships with key software, hardware, and services vendors, system integrators, and Value Added Resellers (VARs).
