Naqib gave a speech during the conference warning about the severity of the disease and the need to communicate with HIV HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), either of two closely related retroviruses that invade T-helper lymphocytes and are responsible for AIDS. Naqib also thanked the Lebanese government for its help, saying it was "a pioneer in providing support and medical care for HIV positive patients."Aa

Think Positive was the only Lebanese organization founded by people living with HIV who "chose to live with their disease and not surrender their life to it," said Sherry. He explained that the NGO aimed at providing medical and psychological care for the patients in collaboration with the NAP.Aa

"The NGO also aims to raise awareness about AIDS as to limit the discrimination and stigma the patients face every day," added Sherry.Aa
