Conference offers ferrous scrap views.

The "Market Outlook for Iron & Steel Scrap and Scrap Alternatives" conference will be held Nov. 17-19 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans Hyatt Regency New Orleans, located at 500 Poydras Plaza in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a 27-story, 361 foot (110 m)-tall skyscraper. .

Topics addressed include global and regional steelmaking forecasts, including commodity pricing prospects; technical innovations in the steelmaking field; and trade legislation and how it could affect global trading patterns.

Speakers scheduled for the event include New York-based steel industry analyst Charles Bradford of Bradford Research Inc., on the state of the steel and scrap industries; I. Michael Coslov of Tube City Inc., King of Prussia King of Prussia, industrialized suburban area (1990 pop. 18,406), Montgomery co., SE Pa. It has glass and steel fabricating, food processing, printing and publishing, and varied manufacturing (textiles, liquified petroleum gas, water-treatment and electrical , Pa., on scrap market economics; Stephen Miller of Ferrosource Inc., Solon, Ohio, on pig iron prospects; Jeremy Jones of Nupro Corp., Grand Island, N.Y., on maximizing scrap value scrap value

Both Ronnie Cecil of CRU Group, London, and Sara Hornsby of Global Strategic Solutions Inc., Charlotte, N.C., will present forecasts on the global metallics (scrap and scrap alternatives market for the next several years.
