The Asia America MultiTechnology Association The Asia America Multitechnology Association was founded in 1979. It is based in Silicon Valley and represents more than 1,100 members from about 800 companies. It holds meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month for its members to network and promote business ties between Asia and  (AAMA AAMA American Association of Medical Assistants. ), Silicon Valley's leading business network promoting the success of the technology enterprises in Asia-Pacific, will welcome more than 250 senior level technology entrepreneurs and investors in Silicon Valley and Asia at its sixth annual conference, "Asia and Silicon Valley in 2003: Leading the Technology Recovery," held Oct. 17-18 at the Hotel Sofitel, located at 223 Twin Dolphin Drive in Redwood City Redwood City, city (1990 pop. 66,072), seat of San Mateo co., W Calif., on San Francisco Bay; inc. 1868. Manufactures include commmunications, electrical, electronic, and medical equipment. . The conference begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

In addition to fostering investment and business development between entrepreneurs and investors in Silicon Valley and Asia, the conference will also offer unique "investee tracks" -- sessions designed to provide an overview of leading strategies and technologies in sectors such as integrated circuits Integrated circuits

Six conference panels will explore a different aspect of the critical Asia-Silicon Valley connection:

"From Silicon Valley to Shanghai" explores China's potential domination of the integrated circuit integrated circuit (IC), electronic circuit built on a semiconductor substrate, usually one of single-crystal silicon. The circuit, often called a chip, is packaged in a hermetically sealed case or a nonhermetic plastic capsule, with leads extending from it for  market and whether or not a new ecosystem -- including Silicon Valley, Japan, Taiwan and Korea -- will develop covering design all the way through manufacturing.

"CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Challenges from Start-ups to Major Corporations" tackles the question of how company founders, most of whom have technical backgrounds, make the transition to CEO or other C-level positions.
