Conexant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNXT), a worldwide leader in semiconductor system solutions for communications applications, today announced that it expects to complete the tax-free spin-off to its shareowners of Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. after market close today. The company plans to issue a formal announcement regarding the completion of the separation of Conexant and Mindspeed on Monday, June 30, 2003.

Mindspeed is expected to begin regular trading of its shares on the American Stock Exchange American Stock Exchange (AMEX)
