Conexant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNXT), a worldwide leader in semiconductor system solutions for communications applications, today announced that Legend Holdings Ltd. is now shipping Conexant V.92 modems bundled into their TeanLin Premia desktop PC product line throughout China.

Conexant's Shanghai design center provided customized in-country V.92 and development support to Legend, China's premier PC manufacturer.

V.92 modems enhanced with the new NetWaiting feature enable end-users with Call Waiting to be notified of incoming calls while remaining on the Internet, allowing them to place the Internet "on hold" for several minutes while taking the telephone call. Users can also place the modem "on hold" and make an out-going call without losing the Internet connection.

NetWaiting also supports Caller ID A telephone company service that sends the caller's telephone number between the first and second ring of the call. If the calling number is not blocked, the calling number is displayed on the handset or base station of the called party.  service by displaying the incoming caller's phone number and identification. In addition, users can maintain a database of frequent callers so that familiar names are displayed and identified.

NetWaiting features an easy-to-use interface that is configurable through the preferences menu.
