Conduit confirmed for Japan Cup challenge.

CONDUIT has been given the go-ahead to seek a third success in the Japan Cup for his trainer Sir Michael Stoute Sir Michael Ronald Stoute (b. October 22, 1945) has been training horses since 1972. He was the only trainer in the 20th century to win an English Classic in five successive seasons[1] and has been Champion Trainer nine times[2].  and will travel to Tokyo on Wednesday for the November 29 contest.

The four-year-old arrived back from his second successive victory in the Breeders' Cup Turf only early on Tuesday morning, but his condition since has given connections plenty of encouragement that he will be ready for the heat of battle again this month.

Conduit was bought by Shigeyuki Okada's Big Red Farm before his Breeders' Cup victory and will stand as a stallion there after the pounds 3.41million race.

The Dalakhani colt is set to be joined by another British challenger, Richard Hannon's Scintillo, in the 1m4f race.

Jane George, of the International Racing Bureau, said yesterday: "At the moment, it's all systems go as regards Conduit for the Japan Cup. We've also had a last-minute entry in the shape of Scintillo from Richard Hannon, and both horses are due to ship next Wednesday."

 Conduit at Santa Anita at the weekend, is set to have his next start in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase The Hong Kong Vase is a Group 1 flat horse race in Hong Kong for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 2,400 metres (approximately 1 mile 4 furlongs) at Sha Tin Racecourse in mid December.  at Sha Tin on December 13.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned five-yearold is banned from racing in Britain because of stalls problems but has made the most of his exile by winning two Group races in France this summer prior to his Breeders' Cup effort.

Stoute also plans to be represented at the Sha Tin meeting by the improving Confront, who will have his first start in Group 1 company in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile The Hong Kong Mile is a Group 1 flat horse race in Hong Kong for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately 1 mile) at Sha Tin Racecourse in mid December. .
