The iHawk is Concurrent's high-performance, PCI-based, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) computer platform for time-critical data acquisition, simulation, and industrial systems applications. At the heart of each iHawk system is Concurrent's RedHawk Linux real-time operating system (operating system) Real-Time Operating System - (RTOS) Any operating system where interrupts are guaranteed to be handled within a certain specified maximum time, thereby making it suitable for control of hardware in embedded systems and other time-critical applications. . Compatible with the popular Red Hat(R) Linux distribution, RedHawk Linux features high I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. A proven, reliable platform, the iHawk is a platform to simulate real-world missions for the purpose of pilot flight training, weapons training, battle mission planning, driving simulation, and visual systems.

Concurrent's ImaGen platform features the latest, industry-standard components from leading graphics suppliers, ensuring that application developers will have access to the best possible COTS IG solutions. ImaGen servers feature multiple Intel(R) Xeon(TM) or AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips.  Opteron(TM) processors and a range of tower or rackmount enclosures. Typical ImaGen imaging applications include civil and military simulation, mission planning, homeland security, scientific and medical visualization, architectural design, energy exploration and entertainment.

iHawk systems also support Concurrent's powerful set of NightStar(TM) development tools. Users can schedule, monitor, debug To correct a problem in hardware or software. Debugging software means locating the errors in the source code (the program logic). Debugging hardware means finding errors in the circuit design (logical circuits) or in the physical interconnections of the circuits. , and analyze their real-time applications on iHawk multiprocessor systems or remotely from a desktop PC or laptop. Each tool runs on the iHawk target system in a non-intrusive manner, thus preserving the deterministic characteristics of the real-time application. NightStar tools are specifically designed to allow integrators to intelligently identify problems early in the project life cycle - and correct them faster.

"We congratulate Lockheed Martin in the win of a fiercely competitive contract bid," said Warren Neuburger, Concurrent Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)
