Three Independent School Districts Get Educational Video-On-Demand in the Classroom

With Concurrent's MediaHawk, the three independent school districts in Texas and Missouri will be delivering encoded educational content to the classroom via baseband video (to the television) from a proprietary Safari Technologies' control and distribution system.

With the Safari centralized media distribution system, teachers will have access from the classroom to many media sources, including educational video, supported by Concurrent's MediaHawk Video Server. This system enables on-demand access to high-quality, digital video to enhance the student learning experience. Safari's products deliver high-quality video, audio, and data on existing network infrastructures. This is the first in a series of ongoing sales to other independent school districts across the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. Lehman College Enhances Language Laboratory with Streaming Video A one-way video transmission over a data network. Lehman College will utilize the MediaHawk system for its 30-seat language laboratory, which has a PC at each station and one teacher's station.
