Concurrent Computer Corporation Names Bruce N. Hawthorne to Board of Directors.

Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR) announced today that Bruce N. Hawthorne has been elected to Concurrent's Board of Directors.

Mr. Hawthorne is a senior partner in the firm of King &Spalding, one of the southeast's leading law firms. Mr. Hawthorne has broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, capital markets, and securities offerings. He also chairs King &Spalding's telecommunications industry practice.

A particular focus of Mr. Hawthorne's practice has been the telecommunications industry. Mr. Hawthorne acted as lead counsel for Sprint Corporation in a wide variety of transactions including its multi-billion dollar domestic alliance with three leading U.S. cable companies (Cox, TCI, and Comcast) to create Sprint PCS as a new national wireless carrier; its international joint venture with France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom to provide global telecommunications services; the creation of Sprint's PCS tracking stock structure; and its rollup of companies in the MMDS industry. He also served as lead outside counsel for Sprint in its recently announced $129 billion merger with MCI WorldCom.
