Concurrent Computer Corporation Appoints Kirk L. Somers as Its General Counsel.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2001

Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR) is pleased to announce that Kirk L. Somers has joined the company as general counsel. Mr. Somers joins Concurrent from eshare communications, Inc. In his new position at Concurrent Computer, Mr. Somers will be reporting to Steve Norton, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Concurrent.

Mr. Somers brings over 10 years of legal experience in intellectual property, litigation, corporate governance, contracting, and software licensing to Concurrent Computer Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Somers was assistant general counsel, corporate secretary, and senior director of Intellectual Property of eshare communications, Inc. Prior to this position, Mr. Somers was a partner in the law firm of Marshall & Melhorn, Toledo, Ohio, where he practiced litigation. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Somers was a judge advocate with the United States Air Force. He received his law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1991 and his bachelor's degree in physics from Cornell University. He is a member of the patent bar, the state bar of Ohio, and admitted to practice in various federal courts.
