Video-On-Demand System to South Lake Hospital for Staff and Patient

Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ:CCUR) announced today that South Lake Hospital of Clermont, Florida purchased a MediaHawk(TM) Video Server that will be used to deliver interactive Video-On-Demand (VOD) training and entertainment content to staff and patients. Audio Visual Innovations (AVI) of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Concurrent's newest Value Added Reseller (VAR), was responsible for this sale.

South Lake Hospital is a general/acute care facility providing 24-hour emergency service, intensive care, and numerous other services. As part of its health and wellness campus, South Lake Hospital is planning to build a National Training Center. The 146-acre facility, which will serve as a training ground for athletes preparing for national and international competitions, will also offer a variety of fitness programs to the public. Concurrent's MediaHawk Video Server will not only deliver content to South Lake Hospital, but will also deliver training videos to the future National Training Center.

South Lake Hospital selected Concurrent's MediaHawk Video Server because of its ability to stream entertainment and training video to both desktop PCs (via an Internet-Protocol format) and to television monitors. South Lake will deliver the interactive video to patients' bedsides and to the future National Training Center. Concurrent's high-performance MediaHawk is scalable and able to provide from hundreds to tens of thousands of simultaneous independent and interactive analog and digital video streams over a variety of networks including ASI, Ethernet, ATM, and broadband. Users can select, play, pause, and stop each digital video stream independently with prompt and predictable response times.
