Concurrent Announces New MediaHawk(TM) Software Release.


New Software Supports Additional Back Office Systems, Many Other Features and Functionalities

In addition to providing support for additional back offices, the newest MediaHawk release provides support for the MediaCache[TM] 1000, Concurrent's first product in a line of non-volatile, flash memory storage products. The MediaHawk 4500 also now supports Regional File Server functionality, allowing for better than stream-rate distribution of content from a library complex to an edge complex to support distributed and hybrid architectures. Stream density has been further improved to 1,920 streams at 3.75 Mbps per 2RU server, enabling both small and large scale deployments with minimized footprint and power consumption. (The previous MediaHawk 4500 release supported 1,600 streams at 3.75 Mbps per server.)
