Concurrent's NightStar Tools For Linux To Offer New Graphical Interface and Enhanced Real-Time Application Debugging And Tuning.

NightStar 4.1 Includes Improved GUI Control and Application Illumination Feature For Increased Programmer Productivity

DULUTH, Ga. -- Concurrent (NASDAQ:CCUR), a leading provider of time-critical Linux[R] operating systems and integrated software and computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced that it will soon offer a new version of its popular NightStar[TM] integrated software tool set. NightStar is widely used for debugging and analyzing time-critical applications running on Concurrent real-time Linux operating system distributions RedHawk[TM] Linux[R] and SUSE[R] Linux Enterprise Real Time from Novell[R].

NightStar version 4.1 features a complete graphical user interface (GUI) makeover that makes it more flexible and easier to use. NightStar's current Motif GUI will be replaced by a Qt-based presentation with more modern rendering, shading and option control. The new version allows individual tool panels to be moved and resized to make it easy for users to customize their debugging displays.

The NightStar suite includes the NightView[TM] source-level debugger, the NightTrace[TM] event analyzer, the NightProbe[TM] data monitor, the NightSim scheduler and the NightTune[TM] system and application tuner.

Key new features include:

* NightTrace event analyzer's Application Illumination feature, empowering programmers with automatic trace application function calls and the ability to examine parameters passed and returned. Application Illumination is customizable and can provide a complete view of glibc activities;

* Enhanced NightProbe data monitor providing live browsing, modification and graphical display of variables;

* NightTune tuner detailed display of system memory usage, presenting a new set of process statistics such as virtual memory and file descriptor usage and environment variables.

NightStar is Concurrent's powerful, integrated tool set for developing and analyzing time-critical applications. NightStar tools run with minimal intrusion, thus preserving application execution behavior and determinism. Users can quickly and easily debug, monitor, schedule, analyze and tune applications in real-time.

NightStar 4.1 will be generally available June 2007.
