Concurrent's MediaHawk VOD Solution Powers Time Warner Cable's VOD Launch and SVOD Trial in Cincinnati, Ohio; Concurrent's SVOD Solution First to Market.

Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR), the pioneer and market leader in Video-On-Demand (VOD) commercial deployments, today announced that its VOD system is supporting the planned launch of VOD and the current trial of subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD) services in yet another Time Warner Cable market - the Greater Cincinnati division in Cincinnati, Ohio. Early last month, Time Warner Cable's Greater Cincinnati division announced it was testing the roll out of HBO On Demand subscription VOD services to approximately 100,000 Cincinnati area digital subscribers.

Time Warner Cable's Greater Cincinnati division serves 585,000 homes passed and 333,000 basic customers. The HBO On Demand SVOD service is being offered to subscribers at a $9.95 monthly fee and provides on-demand access to HBO programs, such as "The Sopranos" and "Sex and the City," with added convenience and control features including pause, rewind, and fast forward of the programming. The Greater Cincinnati division is using Concurrent's MediaHawk(TM) Model 2000 Video Servers to drive the service, as well as Concurrent's Broadband VOD Business Management System (BMS) for back office services, such as billing and subscription management. Time Warner Cable plans to follow the SVOD service with a commercial movie-on-demand offering for its customers before the end of the year. The Greater Cincinnati division is using HBO On Demand applications developed and integrated by PowerTV. Additionally, Time Warner Cable's Greater Cincinnati division uses the Scientific-Atlanta and Pioneer set-top boxes, and the Pioneer Passport electronic program guide (EPG).
