Concurrent's MediaHawk Powers VOD Deployments at Multiple Comcast Systems; Concurrent Now Delivering Video-On-Demand to Over 1.47 Million North American Customers.

Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR), the pioneer and market leader in Video-On-Demand (VOD) commercial deployments, today announced it is supporting the launch of VOD services in multiple cable systems served by Comcast Cable Communications, Inc., a division of Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq:CMCSK)(Nasdaq:CMCSA). These systems include Albuquerque, N.M.; Lower Merion and Willow Grove, Pa.; Mobile, Ala.; and Savannah, Ga. With these latest deployments, Concurrent now brings VOD services to multiple MSOs serving over 1.47 million North American digital customers in cable systems encompassing 6.4 million basic subscribers.

Earlier this year, Concurrent and Comcast signed a strategic volume purchase agreement in which Comcast agreed to purchase MediaHawk Broadband VOD Systems from Concurrent for calendar years 2001 and 2002. Powered by Concurrent's MediaHawk Broadband VOD System, Video-On-Demand services will be deployed by year-end in Comcast cable systems in Albuquerque, N.M.; Lower Merion and Willow Grove, Pa.; Mobile, Ala.; and Savannah, Ga.
