Cobalt is one of the nation's leading managed care companies serving 1.4 million lives in 50 states. The company employs more than 3,000 people in nine states.

Under the terms of the agreement, Concordant will assist Cobalt in the development and implementation of an enterprise security architecture to meet the regulatory requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1996.

According to Michael Cestroni, Director of Business Development at Concordant, the Cobalt contract is significant because it solidifies Concordant's leadership in providing Healthcare Infrastructure Security solutions.
