This new edition is the result of five years of work by a team under the direction of I. Howard Marshall, bringing the concordance up to date. It now is based on the 27th edition of the Novum Testamentum Graece Novum Testamentum Graece (also Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament) is the Latin name of a Greek language version of the New Testament. In this respect it is superior to all other Greek concordances concordances, n.pl 1. items that are in harmony. 2. homeopathic medicines with affinity to one another and therefore can be used serially during the sequence of treating an illness. Symbols, listed on p. xvii, indicate items not found in the Septuagint or earlier Classical Greek. The Supplement in earlier editions that gave an index of prepositions is now incorporated in the main body of the text. If a term occurs twice in the same verse, they are printed on separate lines to enable easier numerical vocabulary counts. Finally, new Greek fonts make for clear printing, a boon to tired eyes. This completely revised edition should make Moulton-Geden-Marshall the standard concordance for the next generation. Anyone who uses the Greek New Testament will want a copy of it. |
