. The 115 person class included 41 graduates who earned their Executive Juris Doctor degree and 74 graduates of the Juris Doctor program. Concord President and Dean Barry Currier awarded the diplomas to the 60 graduates who participated in the ceremony.

Following the graduation ceremony, Judge Dana Senit Henry, a retired California Supreme Court judge, administered the oath of admission to 2 Concord graduates.

A physician in a rural area, who is the only doctor in her specialty for 100 miles, wrote the following in her application to Concord: "I hope the knowledge and expertise that I gain will help both my colleagues and the people whom we provide care for. The country is on the brink of making major changes in the field of healthcare O and it is my opinion that doctors are poorly equipped to deal with or help formulate policies where legal aspects are concerned." Many of the graduates in this class (and Concord students in general) come to Concord with this type of motivation. They plan to use their legal education to the benefit of the field, business, or community in which they currently work.

Concord Law School is the nation's first institution to offer a Juris Doctor (JD) degree earned wholly online. It is authorized to award the Juris Doctor degree by the California BPPVE and is accredited accredited

recognition by an appropriate authority that the performance of a particular institution has satisfied a prestated set of criteria.
