Concho Resources Announces Final Distribution by Yorktown.

MIDLAND, Texas -- Concho Resources Inc. (NYSE:CXO) ("Concho" or the "Company") today announced that it has been advised by Yorktown Energy Partners V, L.P. ("Yorktown V") and Yorktown Energy Partners VI, L.P. ("Yorktown VI") that these entities distributed approximately 3.2 million shares of the Company's common stock to their partners after the market closed on August 11, 2009. The distributions included substantially all of their remaining holdings of Concho stock, constituted approximately four percent of the Company's outstanding common stock and completed a series of distributions by the Yorktown partnerships during the last several quarters.
