Concert for Welsh nurseries.

A GRAND concert is being held tonight, at Theatre John Ambrose, Ruthin.

Meirion Wyn Jones Wyn Jones (b. 1953) is a Welsh politician and Plaid Cymru member standing in the Cardiff North constituency in the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007.

Wyn Jones was born in Cardigan and currently lives in Whitchurch, Cardiff ( Caerdydd ).

Also on the programme is Kate Griffiths, winner of the soprano solo at this year's National Eisteddfod eisteddfod (īstĕth`vəd, –vôd) [Welsh,=session], Welsh competitive festival. Contests traditionally are held in all the arts and crafts, with special emphasis on music and poetry. .

The ever popular Hogie'r Berfeddwlad, winners of this year's Celtic Festival, Ireland will also perform.

The concert gets underway at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at pounds 7 and can be reserved by calling 01824 750332.

Proceeds will go towards new equipment for the local nursery schools - Cylch Meithrin Rhuthun and Pwllglas who rely solely on fundraising to continue their work.
