), announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to purchase The Music Stand, a leading catalog marketer of assorted music-related gifts, awards and collectibles, from ProTeam.com (NASDAQ:PRTM PRTM Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management

The letter of intent includes purchase of The Music Stand catalog and trademark, the customer database and other related assets. Terms of the letter of intent were not announced.

Commenting on the transaction, Phillip A. Wiland, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, "We are pleased with the prospect of adding The Music Stand to our family of catalogs. The Music Stand has been a distinctive catalog title with a loyal customer following for over 20 years. These factors suggest that this planned acquisition will be an excellent strategic fit for our Company, and will allow us to leverage our existing strengths and extend our efforts to produce quality niche offerings."

The Company plans to merge all operational aspects of The Music Stand catalog (merchandising, marketing, customer service and fulfillment) into its existing infrastructure at its facility in Longmont, Colorado The City of Longmont is a home rule municipality located in Boulder County and Weld County, Colorado, United States. Longmont is the 13th most populous city in the State of Colorado. The word "Longmont" comes from Longs Peak, a prominent mountain named for explorer Stephen H. . The time frame for this to occur was not announced.

Concepts Direct, Inc. is a direct marketing company. It has built about 9,000,000 customer relationships through its catalogs and will launch a major e-commerce initiative in 1999. The Company sells personalized paper products and a diverse line of merchandise, including gift items, home decorative items, collectibles and apparel.
