Concepcion v. Morton, 306 F.3d 1347 (3rd Cir. 2002). Prisoners brought an action alleging that corrections officials used excessive force in two separate incidents. The district court denied summary judgment for the defendants and they appealed. The appeals court reversed, finding that the exhaustion requirement in the Prison Litigation Reform Act (PLRA) applied to the grievance procedure A term used in Labor Law to describe an orderly, established way of dealing with problems between employers and employees.
