Concentus Technology Corporation, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software, announced today that it has become an active member of BPMI.org, the Business Process Management Initiative. Concentus, along with a consortium of other companies, will define specifications for the management of mission-critical business processes.

Concentus' technology provides companies with a process automation foundation for executing their unique business strategies across enterprises and for driving the activities of other technologies that may be required for discreet business functions.

Founded in August 2000, BPMI.org and its members are working together to finalize the Business Process Modeling Language (BPML). BPML is an XML Schema that offers companies a standard method of designing and executing business processes. BPML is expected to bridge the gap between legacy IT infrastructures and emerging business-to-business collaboration protocols such as RosettaNet, BizTalk, ebXML and WSDL.

Concentus brings more than a decade of BPM knowledge to its relationship with BPMI.org.
