Italian Food Retail Cooperative to Optimize Warehouse Replenishment, Space and Category Management with JDA; First Pilot Already Successfully Launched

(Nasdaq:JDAS) today announced that Conad del Tirreno Group, a [euro]1.4 billion cooperative of independent food retailers, licensed several JDA solutions to centralize and optimize its operations and IT infrastructure. With more than 340 combined stores in Italy and a new 51,000-square-meter warehouse in Tuscania, Conad is implementing JDA's warehouse replenishment, space and category management software. The Pistoia, Italy-based cooperative chose JDA based on its proven ability to improve operating margins and service levels, streamline processes and balance inventory levels.

JDA Space and Category Management Pilot Successfully Launched

In addition to JDA's replenishment software, Conad will rely on several JDA space and category management applications to drive performance at the shelf. In fact, the retailer has already successfully launched its first pilot that involved 10 point-of-sales and eight product categories.
