ConAgra Foods Inc., Omaha, Neb., agrees to sell Bumble Bee Seafoods, San Diego, to Center Partners Management, a private investment group. ConAgra acquired Bumble Bee, which packages everything from tuna to shrimp to oysters, three years ago from International Home Foods. The sale is part of the company's efforts to pare down less profitable assets. In addition to the Bumble Bee trademark brands, the transaction includes the Orleans, Paramount and Clover Leaf brands, as well as the Bumble Bee operating facilities.
