Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $20.1 Million in Initial Funding against a $26.8 Million Contract for Satellite Communications and Network Services.

MELVILLE, N.Y. -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received a letter contract with a not-to-exceed ceiling value of $26.8 million for satellite communications and network management services. Initial funding was set at $20.1 million, or 75% of the ceiling based on Comtech's submission of a qualified proposal. The contract is expected to be definitized and funded to its final negotiated ceiling within the next few months.

Under the contract with the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM), Comtech will continue to supply satellite capacity, communications and network management services, and related support for the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below - Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT) program. FBCB2-BFT is a battle command real-time situational awareness command and control system. Work on this contract is expected to be complete by December 31, 2007.
