) announced today the award to its Florida subsidiary, Comtech Systems, Inc. of a contract valued at approximately $1,400,000 from a Southeast Asian subsidiary of a multi-billion dollar global conglomerate, for a digital over-the-horizon microwave communication system. Under this contract, Comtech will design and replace the existing communication system between the customer's on-shore facilities and two (2) off-shore oil pumping and collection platforms. The Comtech system will be used to carry both voice and data traffic of up to 8 megabits.
