) announced today that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST PST Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, see there  Corp., has received two contracts valued at approximately $12 million from SRI International (company) SRI International - One of the world's largest contract research firms. Founded in 1946 in conjuction with Stanford University as the Stanford Research Institute, they later became fully independent and were incorporated as a non-profit organisation under U.S.  for the design, development and production of radar pulsed high power amplifiers.

The majority of these high power (500 watt) amplifiers will be used on the Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Incoherent scatter refers to a ground-based technique for studying the earth's ionosphere. Comtech PST Corp. secured this highly competitive program based on its innovative design coupled with the automated manufacturing strength of its sister company, Comtech EF Data Corp., located in Tempe, AZ.

Last month, Comtech PST Corp. received an order for approximately $300,000 from SRI International for identical amplifiers for the High Frequency Active Aurora Research Station at Gakona, Alaska Gakona (IPA pronunciation: [gə 'ko nə]) is a census-designated place in the Valdez-Cordova Census Area in the U.S. state of Alaska. . These amplifiers will be used in initial customer testing of the Modular UHF (Ultra High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 300 MHz to 3 GHz.
