) used on the Enhanced Position Location Reporting System The Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) is a secure, jam resistant, computer controlled communications network that distributes near real-time tactical information, generally integrated into radio sets, and coordinated by a Network Control Station.  (EPLRS EPLRS Enhanced Position Location and Reporting System (also seen as EPLARS) ) radio program.

This order represents a production option on a previously announced contract and brings the total contract value to approximately $7.2 million. Deliveries will begin in fiscal 2004 and continue through November 2004.

EPLRS also fulfills the requirements for collecting data from widely dispersed systems in the forward battle areas, and sending the information back to the combat force. The EPLRS network is a reliable system that automatically reconfigures itself to overcome the line of-sight microwave limitations of UHF (Ultra High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 300 MHz to 3 GHz.
