Comtech Telecommunications Announces $2 Million Contract Award for Solid State Power Amplifiers.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) announced today that its New York subsidiary Comtech PST Corp. has received a contract valued at approximately $2 million for solid state power amplifier systems from a major domestic customer.

The amplifier systems, utilizing the latest IFF (identification friend or foe) technology, will be used by U.S. and NATO armed forces for deployment on high performance fighter aircraft. The contract is part of a major new modernization program of IFF airborne interrogator systems. Deliveries are expected to start in February 2002.
