Comtech Receives $1,500,000 Contract for South African Communications Network.

) announced today that its Arizona subsidiary, Comtech Communications Corporation has been awarded a 2 year exclusive supply contract valued at more than $1.5 million with Telkom South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa.  Limited to supply high performance C and Ku band frequency converters.

The award follows extensive testing of the Comtech converters by Telkom South Africa, which will use them to update South Africa's satellite communications network The transmission channels interconnecting all client and server stations as well as all supporting hardware and software. . The contract called for the immediate delivery of more than $400,000 worth of product.
