Westcon Group announced its relationship with Veramark Technologies, Inc. in June, and this agreement extends the availability of the company's entire product line to the government market.

Recent federal, state and local mandates require government agencies to lower their operational overhead - this can achieved partly by improving efficiency and productivity of agency call centers as well as reducing fraudulent calls. Comstor is now offering the entire Veramark portfolio though the GSA Schedule 70 to government agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Army, Navy and National Guard and many others.

Jeff Smith, general manager of Comstor, commented: "Veramark applications establish checks and balances in call accounting, making it easier for government agencies to identify and capture savings in their toll calls. Products such as the eCAS and VeraSMART are very easily installed and integrate seamlessly with any network solution. This broadens our ability to provide smart applications to the government sector."

"Comstor has an impressive heritage in the government market, and we look forward to having our telemanagement solutions readily available to VARs serving this sector," said David G. "Our solutions help government officials and agencies respond more quickly to security issues like threat calls, fraudulent phone calls and call tracing In telecommunication, call tracing is a procedure that permits an entitled user to be informed about the routing of data for an established connection, identifying the entire route from the origin to the destination.

Working with Comstor, our networking solution can zero in on a very precise business need at the federal, state or local level."
