WIRELESS 2009([R]) trade show and conference will be handled by Comsearch, a CommScope company, which will serve as official spectrum manager for the twelfth consecutive year.

Comsearch will help ensure that the radio frequencies used in demonstrations by exhibitors do not interfere with each other or other licensed wireless operations in the area. To do so, the company coordinates with area licensees, manages frequency use among exhibitors, conducts pre-show testing, and monitors on-site signals for interference. As visitors and exhibitors desire more and more bandwidth for wireless services and demonstrations, including those expected to conduct live demonstrations of next generation network technologies like LTE (Long Term Evolution) See 3GPP.  and WiMAX at this year's show, Comsearch's role becomes increasingly critical to the event's success.

"Comsearch is an important partner of ours," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. "Coordinating the massive amount of spectrum needed to produce the world's largest wireless marketplace is no easy task. Comsearch has consistently provided strong signal coverage for attendees and exhibitors who showcase hundreds of new network products and services."

Comsearch has more than a quarter century of experience providing spectrum management, software, and data solutions to the wireless world. Solutions focus on key areas of spectrum management including strategic consultation, wireless engineering, frequency planning and administration, and monitoring and interference measurements. Its experienced engineers, software products, and information databases have addressed the specific challenges of network design and spectrum management for the evolving wireless industry. Comsearch recently introduced a next generation microwave planning software solution, iQ.link[R]XG Version 9.0, for wireless operators evaluating upgrades to their microwave backhaul networks.

"Whether it is helping design microwave backhaul or in-building systems, moving incumbent frequency owners to new spectrum, testing and optimizing wireless networks, or managing spectrum at world-class industry events like International CTIA WIRELESS, Comsearch has the experience and ability to manage spectrum efficiently," said Chris Hardy Chris Hardy (born June 6, 1972) is a Canadian Football League safety for the Toronto Argonauts. He also serves as their emergency punter/kicker. His role with the team is predominantly as a special teams tackler/blocker. , vice president and general manager, Comsearch.
