Computron Software forms alliance with Fujitsu Open Systems Solutions; leading COLD software vendor teams with groupware provider to promote best-of-breed solutions.


Software Inc., one of the leading COLD and client/server financial application vendors, announced a strategic alliance with Fujitsu Open Systems Solutions Inc. (FOSSI), the open systems development and distribution subsidiary of the $36 billion Fujitsu Limited.

 and integration, account management, and worldwide marketing to provide integrated client/server software solutions.

Computron's COOL product, a high-speed, cost-efficient solution for storage and retrieval of computer generated information that replaces microfiche Pronounced "micro-feesh." A 4x6" sheet of film that holds several hundred miniaturized document pages. See micrographics.  and paper report filing systems, will be integrated into FOSSI's flexible groupware imaging solution, TeamWARE Imaging, that replaces manual paper storage of all types (business documents, fax's, photographs, etc.). The scalability of these two products will extend the reach of COLD and imaging solutions to smaller companies and departmental users that were previously locked out by the high cost and complexity of competing products, and it will also reach up to mainframe data warehousing See data warehouse.
