The company reported first quarter revenues of $15 million, a decrease of 10.5 percent from the $16.8 million for the same quarter last year. Net loss for the quarter was $4.2 million, compared to a net loss of $2.0 million for the comparable 1997 period.

Commenting on the results, Computron computron - /kom'pyoo-tron"/ 1. A notional unit of computing power combining instruction speed and storage capacity, dimensioned roughly in instructions-per-second times megabytes-of-main-store times megabytes-of-mass-storage.  President and Chief Executive Officer, John Rade John Rade, (born August 31, 1960, in Ceres, California) was a linebacker in the NFL from 1983 to 1991.  noted, "Despite the fact that Computron's first quarter is traditionally weak and that the largest individual contract for this past quarter was less than $500,000, we managed to bring in more than $4 million of license fees, reflecting balanced performance throughout the world. This compares to the 1997 first quarter where greater than 60 percent of license revenues were attributable to one customer. We remain committed to our goal of bringing the company back to sustainable profitable growth."
