Computron's new product debuted at the AIIM 99 show in Atlanta. Unlike any other product available on the market, COOL iMergence software allows strategic data to be collected from multiple sources, including databases, data marts, data warehouses, OLAP reporting tools, internal or external reports, and historical archives, then merged for analysis and production of meaningful graphical reports.

The COOL iMergence software serves as an Enterprise Information Portal, providing users with a personalized presentment that allows individually customized views of the enterprise. Users are able to access information from anywhere in the organization regardless of source, then combine and analyze it to produce meaningful reports based on the information gathered from servers worldwide. By bridging the disparate islands of information that exist within most organizations, the COOL iMergence software allows users to mine data from anywhere and any source and view it in the format of their choice including HTML pages via a browser, Excel, or the COOL iMergence viewer. The analyzed data can then be distributed via e-mail or an HTML personalized presentation of the data.

Additionally, COOL iMergence product allows users to create personalized reports. These ad hoc reports can retrieve data directly from enterprise databases using SQL queries, from standard reports generated by legacy applications, or a combination of sources. Using the COOL iMergence Sequencer feature, organizations can determine how often report values are updated, and, by using the Subscriber function, personalized reports can be automatically distributed to users via e-mail.
