) announced today that it signed a contract in the third quarter of 1997 with a major mid-atlantic brokerage services provider for the licensing of Computron's workflow-enabled Accounts Receivable accounts receivable n. the amounts of money due or owed to a business or professional by customers or clients. Generally, accounts receivable refers to the total amount due and is considered in calculating the value of a business or the business' problems in paying  application. The contract includes Computron's Direct Invoicing and Credit Manager's Workbench modules and is valued at more than $250,000.

In a head-to-head evaluation against PeopleSoft, Computron was selected for its superior performance, advanced architecture, robust functionality, and ease of implementation. The Computron solution will be used at more than six sites by the service provider to streamline its billing processes and customer service and to replace its mainframe AR system, Carms, supplied by Walker Interactive.
