Computing Technology Industry Association to Mark 25th Anniversary with $25,000 IT Scholarship Essay Contest.


Ideas on "coolest technology of the next 25 years" sought from next generation of IT workers

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- The Computing Technology Industry Association See CompTIA.  (CompTIA) announced today that as part of its 25th anniversary celebration it will award $25,000 in scholarships this year to students pursuing careers in information technology (IT).

The awards will go to the winners of the CompTIA 25th Anniversary IT Scholarship Essay Contest, targeted at high school seniors and college students attending academic institutions that are members of the CompTIA Education to Careers program.

"For the past 25 years our industry has delivered technological innovations that have changed for the better the way we live and work," said John Venator, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA. "It is only fitting, then, that we honor As a verb, to accept a bill of exchange, or to pay a note, check, or accepted bill, at maturity. Essays are limited to no more than 1,000 words; and will be judged in five categories: creativity, comprehension comprehension

* High school seniors attending a school that is a member of the CompTIA Education to Careers (E2C E2C Hawkeye; Navy Airborne Warning and Control System Aircraft ) program in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  or Canada; and who have achieved a CompTIA certification or are enrolled in a class that is preparing them for a CompTIA certification.

* Students attending a college or university that is a member of the CompTIA E2C program in the United States or Canada; who are pursing a degree in a technology-related major area of study; and who have achieved a CompTIA certification or are enrolled in a class that is preparing them for a CompTIA certification.

Scholarships of up to $5,000 each will be presented to five or more students whose essays are judged to be the best. Scholarship awards must be applied to tuition For tuition fees in the United Kingdom, see .

Tuition means instruction, teaching or a fee charged for educational instruction especially at a formal institution of learning or by a private tutor usually in the form of one-to-one tuition.
