Computerized Medical Systems, Inc. Announces PC-based FocalEase Product.


ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 6, 1998--Computerized Medical Systems, Inc. (CMS (1) See content management system and color management system.

FocalEase is a dedicated contouring workstation application that allows physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to "segment" or identify critical structures for radiation treatment plans. Users who have seen demonstrations of the product have called it "revolutionary." CMS has seen strong growth since the management team completed a buyout of the business on March 21, 1997. The total worldwide revenue from sales of CMS products and services for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1998 was $32 Million with domestic revenue growing 25% compared to the previous year. CMS had record first quarter sales for the period ending June 30, 1998. Sales for that period increased 40% over the same period in the previous year. Orders for the second quarter (ending September 30) are also at a record setting pace, with an increase in excess of 185% over the same period in the previous year.
